Odd One Out Production
"Bukas Na" is an original composition written by BJ Crisostomo and commissioned by Odd One Out Productions. The production explores the repercussions of excessive living, particularly the rise of hustle culture among Filipino Generation Z, through a theatrical narrative that blends humor with social commentary.
The play employs the seven deadly sins as a framework to examine the various ways hustle culture manifests in contemporary society. Presented as a sitcom-style comedy, the performance offers a continuous, unbroken narrative that satirically mirrors modern ambitions and excess.
The production will be staged at the DAC Theater, utilizing the institution’s laboratory facilities.
To realize the project, the production house will collaborate with industry professionals for the Artistic Team, Stage Management, and Production Design departments, while also engaging student artists from the Production Design, Music Production, and Film programs of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde for cross-disciplinary creative development.
